Swing traders hold positions for several days to a few weeks to capture one larger move within a trend. They trade less often, check the market once or twice a day and accept some overnight risk.
Position traders follow long trends for weeks or months, often driven by interest rates or economic cycles. It is the style closest to investing, but a position trader still has a defined exit and a stop-loss.
